E’ proprio il caso di dirlo: si sono già spesi fiumi di parole intorno a ‘The endless river‘, il disco che a 20 anni di distanza da ‘The division bell’ riporta i Pink Floyd agli onori della cronaca musicale per un lavoro inedito. E, a distanza di quasi un mese dal 10 novembre, data X in cui il lavoro si svelerà in tutte le sue forme, dopo l’elemosina di pochi secondi per le clip audio che ci sono state finora regalate, possiamo ascoltare per intero una intera canzone del disco. E’ ‘Louder than words‘, il brano forse più rappresentativo della raccolta, sia perchè è l’unico cantato da David Gilmour, sia perchè il testo, in un disco che è un dichiarato omaggio a Richard Wright, scomparso nel 2008, vuole essere a sua volta un omaggio alla storia del gruppo, a quello che sono stati e che, auspicabilmente, continuano ad essere nel ricordo degli appassionati di tutto il mondo.

E dove il “flow” può ricordare lo scorrere del fiume, il panta rei, che segna il trascorrere del tempo, un’entità nella quale i Pink (Gilmour, Mason, ma anche Wright, e con loro Waters, Barrett…) sono ‘più che vivi’…
